HYROX

Hyrox is a fitness competition that combines elements of functional fitness, endurance, and strength training into a single challenging event. Designed to be accessible to a wide range of fitness levels, Hyrox events test participants' overall physical conditioning through a standardised set of exercises performed in a specific order.

WHAT ABOUT HYROX CLASSES?

Hyrox classes at CrossFit Tua are designed to prepare participants for the specific challenges of a Hyrox competition by incorporating a blend of functional fitness exercises, strength training, and endurance work. Here's what you can typically expect from a Hyrox class:

Classes usually start with a warm-up to prepare the body for the demanding workout ahead. A significant portion of the class focuses on exercises that mirror the movements and challenges encountered in a Hyrox competition. This includes drills and practise for specific stations like sled pushes, sled pulls, burpees, rowing, and others. The goal is to improve technique, efficiency, and strength in these key areas.

To build the stamina and power needed for the event, classes typically include both endurance and strength elements. Skill work is included to refine the techniques used in the competition's functional exercises. For example, participants might focus on perfecting their form for sled pushes or improving their rowing efficiency.

Our experienced CrossFit Tua coaches will provide guidance and feedback throughout the class. They help participants with technique, strategy, and modifications based on individual fitness levels and goals.
